Default biggest tires and wheels that will fit 4x4 without lift kit

OK guys, I got this brand new 4x4 and the first mods are the usual like K&N and TRD exhaust, bed cap etc. Now i want to fill up the space where the flares are with some tires! The factory flares are not filled with the stock wheel/tire package. I am willing to listen to any suggestions on how to do this. If possible, I dont want to lift the body so it has to fit the factory height. I am also thinking about changing the rims too. What size rims are the best? 16x8? 16x10? Are there any concerns on how the tires fit the front and hitting the fenders or any other areas? What about 18"? Any help would be great.

I was able to use BFG All-Terrain 275/75's with almost no rubbing or clearance problems. I say almost because I have a Limited version with the hard mud flaps and on hard locks the tires would rub slightly on the edge of the inner flap. Other than that it was fine with no lift. Since then I've added a 2.5" lift and now have no rubbing at all.

OakTRD

Where did you find 275/75 BFG a/t's? All i've ever seen have been 265 and 285/75's. Also did you use stock rims with them?

That's my bad, I think they are actually 275/70's, sorry. I was at work when I posted my original response. I am using the stock rims and they fit fine.

On the stock wheels I was running 265/75 w/o a problem. When I upgraded to a 16x8 wheel, I got rubbing at full turn. The rubbing was only at the mud flap, so you can take that off and the rubb will be gone

I have Bridgestone Duler A/T's 265/75-16 I think (I'll go outside and check)... They only rub when I stuff them, outside of that, never...

255/85/16's on stock wheels are supposed to fit with no rubbing. have not tried it yet, still waiting on gears to be built.
