Haven't sold the wheels yet, but still looking for serious buyer. If any one is interested in buying chrome Ace T1's 22 x 9.5 wrapped in 305-40-22 Pirelli Scorpion tires please e-mail me. mdelacruz@ortc.com
It's too bad I can't afford these!!!
Oh how I wish I had the dough right about now. I have seen these on the web -and they are tight! And I have been drooling for some 22's.. Maybe my Boss (wife) will Ok me to buy some for X-mas...
Good luck selling them!
Since I know that I wont be upgrading to a larger wheel I'll just concetrate on a bigger better tire... (got fill some of the gap)
I know that some SQ owners have put 285/75/16 sized tired and had a bit of a rub but just how much of a rub is there and where? Is this just on HARD turns and on does it rub the Mud Flap or the inner shroud
The stock tires I have on when I bought the SQ are not bad, I am just looking for a new tire and I am wanting to do some kind of MOD to my Ride
Hi everyone....just got some Pirelli Scorpion Zero's installed on my ride. WOW what a difference!!! I got the 285/65/16's ...I drove all over town and they did not rub. Just thought I'd pass that on.

LOL! any mod is a good mod!
i think the rub was at the mudflap and somewhere else on the inside of the wheelwell, not sure though! if i remember correctly it was only on full U-turns.

Hi Sanchez,
I have BFG 285/75R16 on stock Limited rims. Before my suspension lift, I had 3 main rub points. 1. Mud flaps had to be removed. 2. Required to take it easy on normal left or right turns into sloped driveways. I believe the undersided of the wheel well was the problem. 3. On tight U-turns, rubbing point was from the upper control arm.
You'll need to remove the mudflaps, take it easy on quick right or left turns onto sloped driveways, and avoid turning the steering wheel all the way on U-turns (may have to resort to 3 point U-turns). Other than that, freeway driving, parking, getting around town, was normal. I did this for about 3 months, then got a suspension lift...
after my 2.5" lift on the front and 2" lift on the back, I was able to relieve all of 1 (mud flaps re-installed) and 2, and really got close to resolving 3 completely. When the steering wheel is pinched all the way, you get a very slight rubbing - no big deal though. Currently the inside edge of the tire is about 1/2 inch away from upper control arm with the front wheels straight. I have had this configuration for about 9 months with no issues to peformance or ride quality.
Hope this helps.

I'm looking at rims that are 20x10 and they recommend putting on 265/50-20. Do you think 265's would fit/look good on a 10" rim? 285's be better? Thanks.
i couldn't find any 285s in 20s, but i would definitely stay away from 265s if you are going w/ a 20x10" rim. i'm surprised that your tire guys suggested that. your best bet on a 20x10" rim is to go with 295/45s. it's about an inch wider than the 265s but the same overall diameter. IMO, this would be the best tire.
btw, what rims are you looking at?
Chris

Thanks Simias. I'm looking at Sport Metal Revolver www.sportmetal.com/revolver.html but I've already seen a couple of rigs with them. They come in 20x10 or 18x9. I'd rather have 20's (I think) but maybe 10" are too wide. I like how your 20x9 look with the 265's. That's why I'm inquiring. Any recommendations for other rims?
If anyone is considering ordering wheel/tire packages mail order I suggest you reconsider. My own personal experience from tire rack was a nightmare. I was sent wrong lug nuts which stripped 2 of the wheel studs when the tire shop used their impact wrenches, weights had fallen off during transit and now a constant vibration even a Hunter 9700 can't cure. 3 of the tries (Michelin Pilot LTX) are marginal and were "condemed" by the 9700. Now I have to deal long distance to hopefully get replacements.
You may save a few dollars but it's not worth the hassle.
sorry to hear about what happened! i hope that you get everything worked out! good thing you posted that though. i chose to go through a local guy just because of that reason. i had spent a couple hundred more w/ my guy just for my own piece of mind. now i'm glad i did!
don't get me wrong, a few members on this board had purchased their rims and tires from tire rack and had no problems, but i just didn't want to deal w/ all of the issues of not having that physical sales person in front of me. i used to even recommend tire rack.
btw, what rims did you end up getting?
again thanks for the heads up!
Chris
