OK Guys,

My White Sequoia SR5 has finally arrived. I drove it straight from the dealer to the tire shop to have 18x18.5" chrome Pacer 224s with Michelin Pilot LTX's installed. The backspacing on these wheels is 5.25" vs. the stock 4.5", with the offset at 14mm (same as stock). With the fatter 285 rubber on them, they have *just* enough room to clear the upper portion of the Front Suspension. They tuck under the fenders perfectly. Here's a link to a picture I put up on Yahoo (If I can figure out how to successfully post a link.....)

Very nice wheels and Sequoia.

SequoiaSR5.....nice ride, bro! the rims look good on it too!

LIpinoy.....those rims look alright. if you were looking into 18" rims, axis wheels has some tight 18s. plus they are really affordable right now. two TS members have some tight Axis 18's on their rides! Bad_Knees (Vortex) and 1stV8 (Vector).

Simias - thanks for asking. Nothing right now. Waiting to see what happens at work here. I rec'd an email saying I'm moving to another dept. and my Mgr didn't even know about it. There's another meeting today so I should know more later. Doesn't sound good so waiting on the rims

Going to the Jamboree in September so I'll have 'em before then.

OKC....i've got a couple of pix at home of 26's that i saw at a show. i'll send them to you when i get home (out of town for a couple of days) and some free time.

i wish they would come out w/ clear corners already, but they're not. i already have a bunch of AM parts that i want for my ride, but nothing is out yet.

Boone...good luck bro!

Bad_Knees,
The Bazo B4s look really good. Next time you're at their site, click on the "view on cars" link for the B1s. They come in 20s only and the pic looks like about a 26"! See ya.

OKC,

just saw it! looks more like 28's!

LOL! i hate when companies do that. you'll see it more and more now. they need to just stick w/ real pictures that way everyone can see how they really look on cars. if they are going to use graphics at least have it look realistic.

btw, i'm seeing more companies coming out w/ 26s. bananas!!

Simias,
I've heard about the 26s, but I have yet to see any in person. Things are a bit slower to arrive in Oklahoma!
I just went to your photo album again and noticed that on some of the pics, you can get a larger view. Man, those pics really show off your ride! Have you ever thought about the clear corners? I think they look great on the silver Toys. Either way, that's a tight SQ. See ya.

I'm not yet on the market for tires and rims but looking at your rides wants me to replace my stock. Browsing at the chromed MAIDO MS5's, looks like this wheel set-up is perfect IMHO for my Black SQ. Wheels in 20X9, in a 295/45/20 tires, will this create a rub? Or the main question would be, in replacing the stock rims and tires before the warranty ends, will this give the dealer an escape route in warranty repairs in case something's wrong with the rotors and pads before the warranty ends?

froknoy8,

IMO, those are the one of the tightest rims out right now! that was my first choice, but at the time Dazz didn't have any fitments for the Sequoia, only for the big three SUVs. not sure about now. for polished 20s you could probably get a set for under $3000. you might want to look into 22's though.

the tire size would fit, it all depends on the rim though. call Dazz Motorsports. they're really helpful over there.

btw, Dazz is setting up a seperate website for their Maido Line, but the guys over at Dazz should be able to help.

also, about the warranty. unless they can prove that the rims are the specific cause to any failure that would cause a warranty repair then your safe.

Thanks, Chris! I talked to Dazz actually about a month ago and they suggested that I go visit Sprewell Racing, their old location before they went wholesale.

I went to Sprewell and saw a lot of bad a##! rims out there. They also have a display of a S Mercedes in a killer tire and wheel set-up.
