This is a discussion thread titled "Nitto Terra Grapplers vs Toyo Open Country A/T", within the Tires and Wheels forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I am just about to purchase some tires online and wanted to ask all of you which has the more aggressive tread? Nitto Terra Grapplers or Toyo Open Country A/T.
I originally were going for the Nittos (285/65R18), but Toyo has a sale that have them priced $20 cheaper per tire. If both are pretty close when it comes to tread looks, is one considerable better than the other (in terms of noise and wear)?
If both are pretty close...I wouldn't mind saving $80

Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers vs Toyo Open Country A/T
which ones did you buy? Are these "E" rated? and how much has your ride changed on the truck from the tires?
I am looking at these tires also but think an "E" rated tire is over kill for the tundra.
Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers vs Toyo Open Country A/T
I found the NITTO pretty cheap at Directtire.com with free shipping and if you look on Flea-bay the same place has sales on them as well in a set of four.
Sorry if this is late
