Default Tire Pressure Sensors

What are the issues if any in re-using the TPS when changing wheels? Do they have to be re-built/conditoned even if new? Are most tire/wheel changing facilities familiar with these devices now that they have been around for a while. Have four new OEM wheels that came with new grommets but am hesitant as where to take them for the switch. I do not want to go to the dealer ($190!)
