I have the BFG's, and I love them. My girlfirend's dad goes hunting in Colorado every winter, and he has never gotton stuck offroad with the BFG's (he has gotten stuck with other tires). His last truck had them on for 50K miles and they still had plenty of life left in them. I don't have personal experience with the ohter tires you asked about, but a guy I work with has the ntto's and they are not wearing too well. He is expecting to replace them at around 30-35K miles. I've heard nothing but good about the Toyo A/T's. The only reason I didn't go with them is because they don't look aggressive enough for me. If the Zeon's were made in the size I wanted (305/65/18), I probably would have gone with them (heard nothing but good about them too).
i havent used any of them except the BFG KO's.
They look nice and drive good.
I dont like the way they handle in the rain from a stop. Ive never used them in the snow so i cant comment on that one.
I think they look the best and they are one of the best off road.
The ride is a little choppy in my case and i have the PSI down to 38 all the way around and now its decent but I think im gonna have to air them back up to 41 b/c they look under deflated at 38...
BFG are really nice tires but unless your gonna be going off road i would go with one of your other choices.

I would go with the Toyo A/T for wet weather and for a smoother ride.
I find it interesting that you have the BFG but recommend the Toyo. I am the same in that I recently switched from the BFG to Toyo.
I think the truck looked better with the wider BFG, but certainly rides and corners better with the taller, narrower Toyo.

Rear Susp: ProComp ES3000 #326510 (2.25" taller than stock), 1.25" blocks plus PRG mini-pack (http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...and-new-truck/) gives 2.25" total lift, parking brake cable bracket spacers, wheel well height 43." Front diff and rear ds drop; trailer hitch electrical harness tucked up above bumper. After 20K miles swapped 305/65/18 BFG AT for 285/75/18 Toyo AT, still on stock 18x8x60 offset TRD wheels, about 1/8" clearance to sway bar. Like the extra height but miss the width. Next time either 305/70/, 295/70, or 35x12.50/18. Added 5th 285/75/18 Toyo AT as spare. Bed Bounce: Stiffer E-tires are worse than stock P-metric; biggest improvement from PRG mini-pack, slight improvement from shocks. Still a stiff ride but tolerable now. Best things about this truck: 5.7 and transmission, interior size and comfort, very quiet at high speed. Worst things about this truck: bed bounce, no VSC in 4wd, mileage sucks above 70.
I have the Toyo A/T on my tundra and on my wifes armada they do very good in snow, rain, and are quiet. But when the time comes the tundra will get the M/Ts. Only problem is the A/Ts seem to wear good, slowing down the replacement process.

BFG fan here: for mixture of highway, off-road, sidewall strength, towing, snow, winter and summer. Now with 11,000 miles they still look and ride new, corner and handle much better than the stock BFG rugged trails. Toyos didn't seem to handle, track and steer as well as these, but they were on another truck (F150) so the comparison is hardly fair.

How did your BFGs wear? How many miles did you get out of them?
My BFGs wore well. They were half-worn with 20K miles. One had an unrepairable nail hole. Discount Tire worked a deal where BFG paid for half of three and the DT certificate paid for the one that couldn't be repaired. I took advantage of the opportunity to get the taller Toyos, which I wanted for off-road ground clearance.
The Toyos have noticably quicker steering response on the highway than the BFGs did. The wider BFGs had better grip on lower speed (20-30 mph) low traction corners.
I only have 3K miles on the Toyos, but so far I like them better than the BFGs. Still, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the BFGs to anyone as long as they understood their limitations.
If the Toyos wear as well as others have reported, I will probably choose them again when it's replacement time. Other tires on my short list are Dick Cepek and MT 305/70/18.

I am looking at one of these three tires makes, likely before the snow falls next winter...There does not seem to be any consensus however....some swear by them, others are not so pleased.....the bfg and toyo seem a fair bit more expensive though....anyone know if costco carries the bfg in the 285 55 20?

I have had my BFGs for about 2500 miles and I am starting to worry that I will only get 30-40k out of them. I just dont feel like replacing four tires at $350 a piece every 50k miles.

I was very meticulous rotating every 5K. As I said, at 20K they were wearing very uniformly across the tread and were half worn. They didn't seem to have quite as good traction as when new, but that is very subjective. 40K miles for an AT tire seems reasonable to me.
Reports on the net indicate longer life from the Toyos, so we shall see; check back with me in a year. The appeal of the Toyos for me was 35 inch height, good reports from other owners, and about $100 cheaper per tire.
