Default BFG's load rating

Please help me understand what the load rating means? For example: BFG A/T KO 265/75/16 with a load rating of E. Is "E" the sidewall thickness? what the difference from D or C? Thanks.

Load rating is just like it sounds, its the amount the tire can safely carry. E load rating is a 10ply tire, D is 8 and C is 6...I believe.

Which would be best underneath a Double-Cab Tundra?

If you tow a lot and they tend to be heavy loads you should get 10 ply (E) Tires.

Your ride quality wont be as soft and your your MPG will probably go down some as they are significantly heavier and require more power to turn.
