22" TRD Wheels
Probably should have posted this here instead of the main forum. I am swapping my 18" alloy's with 275/65/18 Michelins for the new 22" TRD wheels with 285/45/22 Toyo's. It is is straight up swap with an elderly gentleman who bought a crewmax with this option but now does not feel he likes them.
He said it's just "not him" and he wants a regular alloy wheel.
They are a $4600 option at the dealer. I know I will have to get the tpms sensors reset but I am curious how large of a tire I could go on the 22" rims without having to lift the truck.
He and I both have 5000 miles on our trucks and the tires still look new. Good deal? I may end up looking around for someone who might want these 22's and willing to trade the 20" Carve's or the standard TRD rims.
I like having a little more sidewall but can't pass up this trade. The rims are $630 each from the dealer. Surely someone might be interested in a trade with me if I decide to do so. It will all depend on whether I have to lift the truck to put a larger tire on the 22" rim.
