Originally posted by Rinkleroot Looking for any opinions on these two wheels by american racing, the pic's aren't great but their all I could find, thanks Doug.
i was looking at that same wheel, the diamond back. i checked the application guide and i didnt see fitment on tundras for the diamond lock only the diamond back which i prefer anyway
Originally posted by ROBROM1 btw i saw a set on ebay for the tundra for 875 too much for me but that might be a good price
Thanks for the info but I just found them at www.truckaddons.com for $160.00 each (16x8) w/free shipping on a set of 4. They also list the diamond lock for $175.00, I might have to pull the trigger on the diamond backs. Thanks again for everyone's opinions.
I dont like either one. I like bead locks but I think fake bead locks are lame. The diamond locks do look a lot better tho, however the "bead locks" are too small and are too spaced out to be believeable.
Originally posted by ROBROM1 i just called them and they quoted me 225 ea for the chrome diamond backs 16x8 .is your price of 190 for the diamond locks let me know
thanks
$190.00 ea. is what they quoted me for the diamond backs (16x8) last month but I didn't buy because I want to see them up close first and I wasn't crazy about their return policy.
The Diamond Locks are sweet... I've been looking at them for awhile now... still can't decide if I like them or the Axis Regulator / Mickey Thompson Classic look more... either way I need the simulated beadlocks!!

For the record, be VERY careful buying AR wheels online. I bought them through a dealer and the AR guys said they would fit the Tundra. Three times and two weeks later I wound up with a different manufacturer. Our trucks are very hard to fit because of the big brakes up front (which suck btw) Bottom line, the AR techs said that they were '100% certain' each time we ordered up wheels--and none fit. No big deal when you're at a shop--huge deal when you're ordering online. Also, IMO buying these online and getting tires won't save you any $$ by the time you pay full price for tires, mounting and spinning. Shop a few local shops, the packages they are offering on wheels these days are incomparable. In most cases you'll get new shoes for CHEAP!!!! I got 33's and wheels from a national chain for under $1000
Upgrades: PA 3" Body Lift, Powertrax No-Slip rear, Detroit ezLocker front, Fabtech/Fox front, Wheeler's AALs, TC Front Diff Drop, 16 x 8 MB Wheels, 285/75R16 Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs, Pioneer Head Unit, Infiniti Reference speakers [front and rear], 150 W bridged amp to bandpass enclosure, 6 CD changer with IR remote, iPod mini and xm hardwired into stereo, Toyota drop in bedliner, and Tonneau cover
So let me get this straight... nobody knows for sure if Diamond Locks will fit a Tundra?
