This is a discussion thread titled "Tire air loss", within the Tires and Wheels forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Hey guys I have a tire that seems to slowly lose air over a month or two it mught lose 10 to 15 lbs. I have had it off and checked for holes/nails and have checked the valve stem, it is fine the needle is tight. Any ideas? Will shifted belts cause this? I would have thought that the ride or noise level would have gotten worse if that happened though.
take it to a dunk tank and air it up to max psi on sidewall and submerge it! only have to be 10% smarter than air leak! if ya can't find one just get a big bucket and fill it with sopay water and a wash mit and start slowly and work your way all the way around the tire and rim. you will find it if it's leaking! dunk tanks the absolute best method!!
