Default I know the OEM tires.....

I know the OEM Dunlop tires s***....
I was hoping they would wear out real quickly like it did for a lot of you, but mine have 40K on it and still have about 7K miles left on it.... I dont do much off roading but due to the tires poor traction I seem to spin out easily. I also drive pretty aggressively... so anyway the question is for those who actually kept the Dunlops on until it needed to be replaced, how many miles did they last you....

Also Im thinking of replacing with Michelin LTX or Yokohama Geolander A/T Plus II....

I know the Michelins last a long time but for those that own the Geolander whats the treadlife like when its on the Tundra...

I replaced mine a bit early at around 37k miles. I probably could have driven a couple thousand more miles but didn't want to chance it with the rainy winter months.

Default Dunlop tires

This weekend I gave up on my OEM Dunlops at 48,000 miles. Mostly highway miles though. I bought some Continental LT/SUV 80,000 mile warranty tires from Walmart Supercenter. Only $444 installed. I like them so far.

I just recently replaced my OE Dunlops with 36,000 miles on them. They still had a little tread left, but I was getting a pretty bad vibration from one of them. When they were removed, the guy mounting my tires showed me the knot on the tire and said it was tread separation. I replaced them with a set of P275/70SR16 Michelin LTX M/S tires. The Michelins are smooth, but ride much firmer than the Dunlops.

Both the OE Dunlops and the new Michelin LTX M/S are very quiet (much quieter than the tires on my M3). I paid $127 per tire delivered to my door for the Michelin LTX M/S 275/70SR-16 tires from Discount Tire (www.tires.com). These were the same price at Tirerack, but Discount tire was offering free shipping which amounted to about $65. For the past 10 years, I have purchased virtually all of my tires from TireRack, but I couldn't justify the extra shipping expense this time.

I just purchased a set of tires for my M3 also. On these tires, Tirerack had the better deal, so that is where I got them.
