Default Larger spare tire storage?

I've seen the prerunner style tire carriers that replace the tailgate, but I prefer to keep the tailgate. I also carry dirtbikes often, so a premanent install in the center of the bed is out too

Are there any carriers that mount the tire vertical against the side of the bed? Against the cab might work too.

I've seen a sliding channel carrier from N-Fab as well. Is that for the Taco only or will it work on Tundra?

What do you guys do with larger spare tires? What size can I fit in the factory location?

It depends on how much "larger" you are talking about.

33" (285/75/16) fit fine under a Tundra w/o mods.

I have no experience with 35", or bigger, spare locations other than in the bed itself.

Default Re: Larger spare tire storage?

After posting this, I actually found another thread where several have mentioned being able to fit 35" under the newer Tundras, but I should check underneath and have a look.
