Default Where the F is the Michelin Man?

I have my rim choice down, and now for the rubber, I have always been one to either go with Michelin or Continentals (before they started sucking)

Is there a Michelin tire out there thats bigger than the stock ones that come with the tundras? im looking for a tire upgrade...

and if i cant have my michelin what tire would you guys suggest? im partial to japanese tires never really had good luck with american brands.

the Bridgestone Duelers that came with my crewmax are almost done and its only been 21000 miles.....

How much bigger are you talking about? I'm looking at the Michelin LTX AT2. It comes in either 275/70/18 or 285/65/18. They aren't cheap, but they are one of the best rated tires on Tire Rack.

I was hoping to get something in the 305 and up range?

I just am skeptical on going with Toyo, Nitto, BF Good, etc...

Well, excluding those brands does limit the choices in the bigger sizes. Goodyear makes a Wrangler Silent Armor in 325/60/18. I've read a lot of good things about the Silent Armors.

Tire Size Converter this site comes in handy for tire sizing. The 325/60/18 is 33.4" dia., 12.8" wide, and 7.7" sidewall. According to Tire Rack, it works best with a 9.5" rim.

Large selection of bigger sizes, i went with Michelin LTXAT2's and like them a lot! I did get one bad from factory but they replaced no charge!
www.performanceproducts.com has selection to look at!

Actually they look strong like all other Michelins! If you are looking for a MT the Michelins are not for you!! These are at best an AT Tire and much nicer than the OEM Bridgestones Higway tire! I have them on my 93 PU and my 06 DC and they do pretty good in New Mexico, since we have no moisture!! I went with them due to ride and wear factors and i know i will be happy!
Michelin LTX A/T 2 I have no issue with them at all and actually like them a lot! I use this product to care for them and it is supposed to keep them from cracking on sidewalls! stuff works great on brake dust and i use tire shine on dash and man does it work great! have to wipe extra off cause it is too shinny! Last FOREVER on dash!! http://www.x1r.com/michelin2.htm

Looks like the AT2 comes in a 33R18...285/65/18 I think it was. OTOH I think that's about 33x11R18...but that's a rough guess.

Nokian offers one or two tires in 35x12.5 sizes, dunno if they offer for 18" rims or not but it's worth checking.

using the tiresize converter and tireracks specs it says the 285/65 is a 32.6" tire? and the 275/70 is a 33.2

this tire size thing is confusing haha..

That means they're both gonna be 33" tires. You will hardly notice the difference.

Personally I'd get the 275/70. It's usually easier to fit a tall, narrow tire vs a shorter, wider tire.
