Tires and WheelsDiscussions and experienced advice about tires, wheels, traction control, proper balancing, improving tire life and more.
This is a discussion thread titled "Where the F is the Michelin Man?", within the Tires and Wheels forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
How much bigger are you talking about? I'm looking at the Michelin LTX AT2. It comes in either 275/70/18 or 285/65/18. They aren't cheap, but they are one of the best rated tires on Tire Rack.

I was hoping to get something in the 305 and up range?
I just am skeptical on going with Toyo, Nitto, BF Good, etc...
Well, excluding those brands does limit the choices in the bigger sizes. Goodyear makes a Wrangler Silent Armor in 325/60/18. I've read a lot of good things about the Silent Armors.

Tire Size Converter this site comes in handy for tire sizing. The 325/60/18 is 33.4" dia., 12.8" wide, and 7.7" sidewall. According to Tire Rack, it works best with a 9.5" rim.

PRO COMP TIRES
Large selection of bigger sizes, i went with Michelin LTXAT2's and like them a lot! I did get one bad from factory but they replaced no charge! www.performanceproducts.com has selection to look at!
Actually they look strong like all other Michelins! If you are looking for a MT the Michelins are not for you!! These are at best an AT Tire and much nicer than the OEM Bridgestones Higway tire! I have them on my 93 PU and my 06 DC and they do pretty good in New Mexico, since we have no moisture!! I went with them due to ride and wear factors and i know i will be happy! Michelin LTX A/T 2 I have no issue with them at all and actually like them a lot! I use this product to care for them and it is supposed to keep them from cracking on sidewalls! stuff works great on brake dust and i use tire shine on dash and man does it work great! have to wipe extra off cause it is too shinny! Last FOREVER on dash!! http://www.x1r.com/michelin2.htm
can get expensive also when you order wrong tires for rims you have already!
