Default Sidewall strength

I have a question for those with tire experience. I have stock 245-70-16 Bridgestone HT tires with 31,000 miles. I want a tire that will resist sidewall cuts as I run over a lot of debris when scouting during hunting season, which is coming up soon. I cut a passenger tire once on a root & don't want to have to worry about that. Goodyear is having a good sale right now on their Wrangler Silent Armour tires. So, if you wanted a tire mostly for city/highway but could stand up to the abuse of roots & stumps what would you recommend? And does size matter? I have never been stuck with the stock tires and they get good mileage(mpg's). So I'd need a good reason to go wider or taller. I encounter mostly sand & some light mud holes. I avoid deep water & mud. I searched but cannot find the difference between P rated and LT rated tires. I know the difference in load ratings & I do not tow or carry heavy loads. Thank you in advance for your suggestions & opinions.

I think the silent armour's have a 2-ply sidewall. The BFG A/T's have a 3-ply sidewall and I think that may help in preventing sidewall punchers. Any good A/T tire should have a more resistance to sidewall punchers than a highway tire.

I had good experience with the BFG A/T's when I had them. I know a guy who wheels very tough trails with 31" BFG A/T's and only ever slit one sidewall. They are pretty capable off-road. They will be louder than the highway tires you have now but they shouldn't be too bad.
