Default factory SR5 wheels chipping/peeling

I have the original SR5 wheels and I noticed that the wheels are chipping/peeling/corroding . Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I know that Chevys do this poor manufacturing. So, should I just paint overtop of them, have them sandblasted, sandblasted then painted, or just leave them the way they are. I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them.
