Default Cooper STT's vs Toyo MT's

I have always liked the look of these tires and heard they perform well and have good tread life. I was wondering how good these look in 275/70r18 on a Tundra with a leveling kit 3/1. Do you think these tires aould decrease mileage much and would love to see these tires on a truck, wish they had a 33x12,50 one for an 18" wheel and not a 20, but may go to 20" wheels depending on the deal i can get

Just called my dealer I wouldnt have thought so but a set of Toyo Open Country M/Ts came out almost 50 bucks a tire cheaper, would have never thought that.

So now can anyone give me a comparison betwen these tires?

Can I change your title to show Cooper STT's vs Toyo MT's and move it to the tire and wheel forum?

I have those tires on my truck, same size as the ones your looking at. I have 25,000 miles on them and am shopping for a new set of tires. My mileage decreased significantly when i put them on, I am getting less than 15 mpg on the hwy. Nice durable tires but I doubt I will go back to the Coopers

The only reason to go with the cooper STT is the side walls look way better they also have a better rim guard. Other wise the Toyo's will balance better last longer and be a little quieter.
Double cab long box 4x4 5.7 L slate grey . would have bought a limited if available with long box

You need to check around some more, cause when i was shopping the toyo mt's were $100 more per tire. And they didn't have the stock size, which were bigger.

I've got the stock size ( 275/65/18) cooper stt's, and i love them. Great in snow and mud, and they balance up pretty good. No loss in mpg for me.

You guys running larger tires are going MORE miles than your odo says, so you should adjust for that.

What kind of tread life expectancy if I rotate every oil change? I was hoping to get 40K is that an unreal expectation for these tires?

I think 40k is definately do-able with these tires. Just keep enough air in the front's, and rotate every 5k miles. The front's seem to wear good at 45 psi, and i run 32 in the rear empty.
