Default replacement tires

i need to replace my bridgestone ht/s on a 2007 doublecab, live in upstate ny so i need something better in the snow. i was looking at cooper ATR LT 275/65R/18, or the firestone destination A/T both are on sale in the month of august. has anyone run either one of these. the money they cost you really have to get some feedback before i put down 800-1000 dollars on tires thanks

The Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors have gotten some really strong reviews, and are about the only A/T tire I can think of that are also rated for severe snow service (mountain and snowflake branded). They are supposed to be excellent in the snow, maybe not quite as good as a studded snow tire, but not far off if the reviews are to be believed.

I have been comparing posts and looking at different tires myself.
Ran a set of REVO'S for 47,000 and was a great improvement over factory. Worked great in the snow and wet. Quiet on the road also. Did not the how they performed on wet grass(funny huh). Did well off road in light mud.

I am looking at
1 Goodyear wrangler silent armors
2 Michelin LTX AT2
3 BF Goodrich atko

All have great following from many and the price is about $100 +/- of each depending on where you get a price.
Told that Michelin will be $70 off in October.

One guy had tru tracs and traded them for silent armors and had great points made.
The Michelin are 70 to 90,xxx mile tires which I like for the price a person pays for tires.

I am from Wisconsin and see my share of snow and backroads hunting. Spend 90% on the road like most people if they are honest. So the big lugs I was leaning to this time are out. ( gas mileage/ noise)
I am leaning 1 or 2.
NOW I need to makse a choice.

You could always go with dueller A/T. staying with a 255 will mean better travel in snow

i'm stuck in the same situation, gotta get winter tires for the stock 20"s that i use just for late fall thru winter.i was looking around on tire rack and saw that they now have a new bridgestone blizzak tire, any one run a blizzak tire on a fullsize truck? this is my first fullsize truck so i would have no idea if they would be good.

go with nitto terragrapplers, they have the aggresive look but stock ride! great for snow too! best of all, no leveling kit, just a minor mod on the skidplate. check my pics in my profile! good luck
