MarkyMark- I've only heard about the re torque for new wheels, never just fir taking a wheel off for just a flat or rotate.

To the op yes a month can go by if they're under torqued.

the retorque is for anytime the wheel/tire is taken off regardless if its a new wheel or new tires or what. dicsount tire says teh same thing on flat repairs... juse because a wheel comes off and goes back on is reason enuf to retorque it. only makes sense that way. new tires or new wheels wouldnt have anything to do with it to make it apply only in those situations...its the seperation of the parts that cause it to be necessary to check.

Ditto, glad you are safe. It is a lot easier to fix and replace things than people. After they say they are done with all your repairs/replacement on your vehicle, I would take it, immediately, to another reputable shop to inspect their work. In my experience, this can only help protect you. This will cost you out of your pocket a little but that is better than driving a few hundred or thousand miles and find out that it will cost you a lot more because they failed to do something or cut corners. Also, they should provide you with a rental while your vehicle is in repair.

Good luck and sorry for the inconvenience!
