Default Backspacing question: 16" 2006 Tacoma TRD wheels on 2005 Tundra?

Hey guys,

I think this is my first post on here, and I made sure to search very thoroughly before asking as I don't want to waste anybody's time. I have a 2005 Tundra DC LTD with 17" alloys, but need a set of snow tires/wheels. I found the following 16" Tacoma wheels for sale, but am not sure of the backspacing on the wheels. There did not seem to be a general consensus on this site about whether these wheels had 15mm or 25-30mm backspacing. So I'm asking those of you who may have tried to his or have actually measure this wheel's backspacing before I drive 200 mi to buy these wheels. Will the wheels (pic attached) fit on the Tundra?

Thanks,

Seth

I installed wheels from a 2009 Tacoma TRD on my 2000 Tundra 4x4 (same wheels shown in your pic). The wheel back spacing is about 9/16" greater. I have 265/70-16 tires on the wheels. The front tire clearance is about 1/4" from my upper control arm. I don't like the idea or cost of wheel spacers...

ipadl, I don't think 16"s will clear your brakes up front. Don't quote me but I think in 2004 or 2005, the brakes got bigger in diameter which is why they went to 17's from the factory. you can test fit them if possible, but I think their too small.

16" will fit as that is what I have on mine, the stock 16" steel wheels. Now as for backspacing and bore, I have no clue, sorry!

Hmm. Learn something new everyday, thanks for teaching me. In that case, if you are lifted up front, recommended backspace is 4.5" or less. I think stock wheels (no lift) are 5" I could measure my old ones to make sure.
