Default Eagle Wheels "101" or "102"

I'm about to lift my '03 4wd with Downey coil overs and get 285/75-16 tires and I like the Eagle type 101. The backspace is 3 5/8 on the 16x8 but now I'm hearing things about "hub-centric" and "lug-centric". What is that? If the wheel is round, it's round, right? And does that wheel have the right center bore? How important is that? I don't want some crazy vibrations or anything.

The tire shop I'm dealing with seems willing to test fit but I'd like to order the right thing and just get it correct from the start.

Also, what is the next size smaller tire below the 285/75-16? It seems like that size barely fits from what I've read without rubbing. Is there a 275/75-16? is the 265/75-16 significantly larger than the 70.

Thanks

I have the series 101, part# 1014-7866 on my '02 Tundra and haven't had any problems with the wheels. I have the cornfed 2.5 lift with 285's and they rubbed a little on the mud guards. A little trimming of the mud guard fixed the rubbing and I am very satisfied with the look of my truck. Hope this helps.

Thank you Camry,

I like the Eagle 101 but wasn't sure if they work on the Tundra since no one else seems to have installed them (MT IIs seem to rule). I was glad to hear from a satisfied customer. What is Super Finish. The 101 is the ony wheel that comes with it? What size tires do you have?

Thanks again, Jeff

I was going to get the MT Classic II's but got tired of waiting for them to be shipped. The tires I have are BFG Mud Terrains 285/75/16. I'm not sure about your question about the super finish. My only guess would be they are polished with clear coat, however this is just a guess. I would ask whoever you are going to order your wheels from, they should know.
