Angry IS Wheel Caps!

Once again these crappy IS Wheels are giving me an ulcer! I took an hour trip this weekend to visit some friends and when I got back home I noticed I was missing the cover on one of the wheel's center caps.

THIS IS THE 2ND ONE IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know where I can get replacements at a good price?

I have the snap in type not the screw on. How could Toyota be so sloppy and produce or allow anyone to produce for them such an inferior product.

These wheels, the crappy IS grille, and flares are a total joke. I will avoid from now on anything made by TRD or any accessories made by Toyota! This is a serious problem. Yes, the wheels look nice even though they are all flakey. And yes I'll have to buy the caps just so they don't continue to look even more crappier!

How about dumping those Ivans and if you really like the styling, get the Cragar Boosts? They look the same, only in triple chrome.

Well, I had 1 fall off(the black part with glue stayed on, but the silver piece fell off). Contacted SteveG at Carson who I bought the wheels from and he sent a new one right away. Don't know what would happen now though, as it's been over a year since I bought them.
I agree it is pretty sloppy how they hot glued the silver cover to the plastic which actually snaps into the center cap. I see 2 problems:
1) When it gets cold, the glue contracts and with heat it expands. Mine fell off after leaving it out overnight with cold(So. Cal cold = 35deg.) and I think this was the reason.
2) To put the center piece on, you have to smack it with a rubber mallet. This will cause the glue to come undone eventually.

All in all, I expect to lose another cover but it hasn't happened yet. If/when it does I think I will drill a small hole thru the center and use some kind of screw to just hold the 2 pieces together.

Wes03, I don't know which member's ride that is here (not mine), but those are the Cragar Boosts. They are exactly like the Ivans, around $171. I still want those American Racing black teflon Victor's. Did you ever get an answer from AR on whether those will fit our Tundra's?

@ $171 a pop these are not a bad option. The only problem is that I just bought 285/65/16 pirellis for these wheels @ $700 total.

If I went with the cragar I'd like something in 18" which means more $$$$ for wheels.

For now I'd rather spend on the cap only. Thanks for the suggestion!

Because I avoid chrome whenever possible. I HATE chrome!!!!

I think the IS wheels are great looking wheels it would completely ruin the look of them if they were chrome.
