Default Backspacing on 2004 Tundras

Anybody know what the backspacing is on the stock wheels for the 2004 Tundras? Specific on the 17's. I think they are 4.5" backspacing but I am not 100% sure on that.

Does anybody know the answer to the above question? It bothers me that Toyota HQ doesn't, my dealership doesn't know, other dealerships don't know. Supposedly, Toyota provides the dealerships with shop manuals that give specified information related to wheel spacing and techincal information. One dude said he would look it up but never called me back. That was two days ago.

Does anybody have a set that they could perhaps measure the backspacing on a Tundra 17" wheel? Just would like to know before I start playing around with aftermarket wheels.

I checked the 2004 Tundra shop manual and could not locate any backspacing specifications.

The 17" rim I measured upstairs this morning is a take-off from a Tundra that we put some BLING BLINGS on. It measured a 5" backspace. Using my straight edge and a ruler. Crued measurment i know, but its the best I can do until I find it in writing. nhparrot is correct , I couldnt find it in the manuals either, but I have a few other avenues I am investigating.

No problem just trying to help.
I did some investigation and that spec is NOT avaliable from Toyota at all. They tell us We do not need that spec, because the Dealerships usually dont deal in the aftermarket wheels. Trust me Toyota tells us as little as possible. Trade secrets i guess. They dont even show how some of the computers innerds work for diagnosis. It gets frustrating now and then.

So i went back upstairs and used a straight edge, I came up with a 5.25" back space for the 17" Factory allow/and 4.75"for the 16"alloys.
Hope this helps. I even got ahold of my buddy's at some aftermarket tire places and they dont have the spec either. They can only tell me what works with what size rim.
Take Care
Victor
