Default Sites that show various wheels look like on Tundra

I just got my DC with 17" rims but it looks like all the tires I am interested in (mostly the Bridgestones A/T Revos) don't have 17" versions, so I went to tirerack.com to look at wheels. I loved that you can see what the various wheels would look like on a Tundra but their selection of wheels is limited and am not interested in any of the wheels they sell.

I am wondering if anyone has come across other sites like tirerack.com that let you see what the wheels they sell look like on a Tundra?

You can get the REVO's in 265/70R/17 at Costco. I'm getting mine on Monday when the tire special begins. They're around $135 per tire and the special will get you approx. $80.00 off a set of four. I think the special lasts 2-3 weeks.

I just checked with Costco in San Diego and those tires in 285/85/16 go for $179.08/tire which includes labor. I asked about a sale and the guy at the counter said he wasn't aware of any coming up. Where did you see this deal?

The knucklehead was probably trying to tell you anthing to make a sale today. I worked at Costco for 15+ years and spent over half of that in the tire center. I have former co-workers that are still there and I buy all of my tires from them. So I guess I have access to some "insider information" when it comes to the twice-a-year (Jan. & June) tire "specials". The word is it's $60.00 off a set of 4 (Michelin & Bridgestone only) and half off installation which makes more like $80.00. It's supposed to start Monday June 7 and last for 2-3 weeks. Wait until Monday and go see the bozo who fed you a line of BS and see what he has to say for himself.

Got ya. I will go back Monday... Thanks!

I have been on a self made crash course on lifts, tires, and wheels the past several days. I just learned that some wheels with a given diameter (e.g. 16" wheels) don't fit all tires with that same diameter; so now I am trying to figure out how to find wheels that will fit those 285/75/16 tires. Even without this restriction, I haven't found the wheels I like yet. How can you tell if a given 16" wheel will fit a 16" tire (i.e. 285/75/16) without control arm or other problems (I already expect to have to trim to prevent rubbing).

I don't know what you have (2X of 4X), but Wheeler's coils and 265/75R/16 BFG A/Ts with stock alloys don't look half bad and it's a fairly minimal cost if you do the work yourself. As for wheels, you can design your own through some billet wheel manufacturers. You can pick the diameter, width, backspacing, etc. I did, check them out, they're Boyd's 17x8, 3 3/4" BS, reverse lip. I'm putting the Bridgestone REVO P265/70R/17 on them Monday.

I started out by looking at lifted DCs on TS and Lexus Luthor's Tundra looked right as far as lift and tire size, so I had the lift installed today with the same height (front and back). He's got 285/75/16 which is why I want to go that size (i.e. I like the look of that size on his truck). I looked around and decided the Bridgestone Revos were the best tire for my needs. This leaves me with locating a wheel to fit with this specific tire and trimming the wheel well (as Lexus Luthor had to do). Where do I locate billet wheel manufacturers?

My wheels are Boyd's and I ordered them through 4Wheel parts in El Cajon. I chose the pattern, diameter, width and backspacing for $249 per wheel. As soon as I have my tires installed, I'll post some pics.

Went back to Costco and they do have a tire sale starting today. The sale goes until thie 27th of this month. I was told the single tire price for the Rivo is $154.99 (285/75/16). I was told all four will run you $636.32 instead of the regular $716.32.

Got my REVOs installed today, well, at least they're on the new wheels anyway. I still need to buy new lugs/locks so I can put 'em on the truck. I'm probably going to buy them from Summit Racing tomorrow, so I'll have 'em on soon. I'll see if I can get some before/after pics in the gallery.
Oh yes, I did take advantage of the tire "special" at Costco that I had mentioned before and a set of P265/70R/17 REVOs ran me $524.26 mounted/balanced with all of the goodies.
