Question Need new tires!

Hey everyone! I have 32k on my original BFG's Rugged Terrain and its time for some new tires. What do you guys recommend besides original equipment. I live in New England so I need a good all-season that also has a little less highway noise than the BFG's. I was thinking around the $120 a tire price range. Also, I have the stock 16" rims but wanted to go up on size in tires, fill in the wells a little, and go with 265/75 R16. Does it make a difference in the look? Is it worth it?

I have 28k on mine and the tires have a large amount of wear left. I bet I will get close to 40k miles on the BFG.

I believe there is a thread in here that explains the max tire size to go without rub and the size to go with a lift.

For That Price Range I Would Look For A Bfg Long Trail Ta Or Firestone Destination Le. Both Are Good Tires For The Money And Still Have An All Season Tread Pattern. I HAVE THE BFG ALL TERRAIN ON MY 04 AND THE TIRES ARE A LITTLE LOUD FOR ME.

Give the Bridgestone REVOs a look, they have a nice agressive all-terrian tread, a smooth ride and they're quiet.

I was going with the REVO's but they had Cooper Discover AT's on sale for $40. 00 less per tire. I had them on my last truck, which my Dad bought from me and they still look good at 50,000 plus miles. I like the Coopers, quiet, good in the snow, have 21,000 on them and still look like new. They don't have the name, I put the white letters inside anyway. I went with the 265/75/16 on stock rims also. No problem, close but no rub. 2 or 2.3 mph faster than 265/70/16 not a big deal for me I guess.

Happy hauling,

Doug

A 2 mph difference huh? Sounds like a lot with such a small upgrade in tire. Oh well, how accurate are the speedo anyways I will check out those tires....its just that my fronts are worn and I think my alignment is off a little since the tread wear is uneven. I might just do a final rotate and get new ones before the winter. Tirerack has the best prices, but a lot of places throw in the mount and balance when u buy tires from them, so it almost evens out.
