Before I spend 600 bucks I thought that I check if anyone already has these. If anyone has these, coments or pics would be great.

I have them on my Tundra. Look and ride great. Raised the truck about an inch. Only 1000 miles on them so far, but I have no complaints except they occassionally rub on full turns. I'm glad I got them and would purchase again, unless I get bad mileage from them.
I have BFG AT"S 265/75/16's and I have no rubbing at all. They look much better compared to the stock tires. They are more in proportion to the truck. They are a lot of money however but definately worth buying.

I haven't been very happy with the stock BFG 265/70/16's that come with my Tundra. I'm also planning to go with the 265/75/16 after seeing SGulls truck, but I'm going to go with the Michelin Cross Terrain SUV. Checked with Costco in Temecula yesterday when we ordered the Cross Terrain for my wife's RX300, and they quoted me $166.00 a tire and said they would in fact install the larger size if that's what I wanted. (The 225/70/16 version for my wife’s car are $139.99 each which includes install, balance(Spin), but not taxes and come with lifetime free rotation, and replacement/repair coverage.)Originally posted by matttom

I've got 'em, they look great. A little noisier than all-season tires, but they improve the ride on the highway (not as much swaying). I know some people use them year-round but I switch to all seasons in the winter with stock rims. They don't perform quite as well as all-seasons in the snow. Overall you'll be really happy with them. They beat the stock Dunlops hands down.
Just got BFG KOs 275/70s. No rubbing. Look cool. A bit more road noise than the stock GrandCraps but nothing distracting.
If you're interested I'll take a snapshot.
Justagirl,
You've got me confused. You say that you switch back to the stock tires in the winter because they have better traction?
What tires came with your truck? How could they have better snow traction than the BFG KO's?
Ciao.![]()
Nope, didn't say stock tires, I said stock rims. I had Kelly Safari tires put on and they perform much better on snow and ice than the BFG's. Other people's opinions may vary, this my experience.

i have them on my 2000 SR-5
265/75-16
they look awesome, it performed ok in the mud,and pretty good when traveling on sand,
definantly made the truck look more aggressive,
it did make it rub when i make full turn on a hill
go for it!!
I'm not sure why so many people are big on the 265/75s rather than 275/70s. The 275/70s look alot beefier.
Sure, you're giving up a half inch in height but they're so much better proportioned(see stats at below). With the 265/75s, if you're looking at the truck from anywhere but directly from the side(profile) you're looking at a relatively tall and thin tires.
Plus the 275/70s give you a much bigger footprint offroad... very functional.
Maybe I'm biased because I have the 275/70s but if you want height, get a lift and put even bigger tires on.
265/70 R 16 <-- stock
Width: 10.43"
Overall height: 30.61"
265/75 R 16
Width: 10.43" <-- no change in width
Overall height: 31.65"
275/70 R 16 <-- pick me!![]()
Width: 10.83"
Overall height: 31.16"
I've put 36,000 (HARD) miles on my 265's & their is still quite a bit of tread left. I am very happy with them.![]()
Hey Mark, for your stats it seems that the 275/70's are only .40 inches wider is that really noticable in appearance? Most of my off-roading with my Tundra is in the snow and narrower tires provide better traction. As for the hight I have a 7/75,000 extended warrenty I'll pass on the lift for now. I think that the full inch in hight will make the most differance in performance![]()

I have BFG all Terrain 265/75/R16's. I've had them on for about 8000 miles. They are wearing great and I have yet to loose traction even in the snow and dirt. They look alot better on the truck and perform leaps and bounds above the factory rugged trail tires. I have been really happy with them and would recommend them to anyone. The price was alittle high because of the awkward size, but it is definitely worth it. The truck looks alot better, rides higher, gets great traction, and the wheel wells look more filled out. The tires are also very quiet at highway speeds. You will lose a bit of performance off the line, but that's the only bad part and comes with every larger tire. My trustworthy local tire shop definetly made a good call in persuading me to go with the tire over the 275/70 because they new I wanted height and traction. I have been very pleased. You can see pictures of the tires under my name on the my photos section.
