Default Biggest size tire

Hi
I was wondering if anyone knew what the biggest size of tire is that I can put on my stock 2001 tundra. It's a trd if that makes a difference.

I want to put the trd IS rims on it, and I need new tires, I need to figure out what size tires I can fit on there.

The guys at 4 wheel parts told me I would need a 4'' to 5'' lift to fit 33'' tires on it, but htat seems a little excessive.

If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Stock..Im not sure, do a search, definitly talked about before. As far as 33s go, you can fit 285/70R16s (appx 33" tall) on with around 2.5" of lift, achieved by a spacer, or coilover lift. Do some more searching and come back with more questions, definitly lots of info on this subject.

stay out of 4wheel parts, they dont know what the hell theyre talking about, ever. they will sell you whatever they figure they can convince you to buy.

you should be able to run most 265/75/16 tires, use the search function to see which brands will work without trimming. there's a ton of information here regarding lift amounts and corresponding maximum tire sizes, as well as what needs to be trimmed when, for which sizes.

Thanks for your help guys

Well I think I have decided on what I am going to do to my truck:

-2.5" performance coil overs from fabtech for the front

-1.5" add a leaf from wheelers in the back

-16''x8'' TRD wheels

-285/70R16s tires

although I'm not sure what tires I'm going to go for.

Does anyone know if this setup would work? and if I add a body lift to that could I out on 305's?

Just say NO to fabtech. Please, do yourself a favor. Ive had nothing but problems with my kit for my ranger, and numerous tundra owners have had problems with theirs. How much does it run anyways? I would seriously consider going with a bilstein coilover at the least, you can work your way up from there...
