I had my 265/70-17 Revo's put on today and first thoughts are WOW! When I pulled out of the lot it felt like I was riding on air. The handling felt very smooth and sure. I am going to enjoy these if nothing goes south from here. I did decide to put the 2 1/2" lift kit on. I am not getting any rub but I think since my truck is a 4x4 it will look better sitting up a few more inches. I have decided to use these:http://www.extremetrucktoys.com/tun_lifts.htm. It looks like these will be simple to install. I have never claimed to be a sho-nuf mechanic and don't want to start trying now. I think this lift is something I can do.
I chose the Revo's because of what I read about them here. This is a very informative site for Tundra owners. Thanks for the info.

Good luck with the Revos! I've got almost 20k on mine. They are wearing quite well and still riding good too. Traction in snow and rain has been superb. I think you'll be impressed with the lack of road noise and handling as well.
Thanks VG, I have heard many good things about these tires. They also got great reviews at tirerack.com. I liked the scale ranking various brands and the revo's was # 1. (wet traction, snow, dry, ride, etc.) Good to hear you are satisfied with your's.
I went to my local Firestone dealer for the REVO's, 265/75-16 and his total price including install was $1099!!! I wonder why he was so much higher than the prices I've seen here? That's over $200 a tire!!!
What gives?
Joe

Lets Make Sure We Are Comparing Apples To Apples.
The 265/75r16 Bst Dueler At Revo Comes In Three(3) Different Ply Ratings/load Carrying Capacities--6ply Rating (lr C), 8ply (lr D), And 10ply (lr-e). There Is A Price Difference In All Of Them.
I Can Do The 6-ply's For $150.00 A Tire/ $708.64 Mounted, Balanced, Valvestem, Sales Tax (8%), Tire Disposal, And State Tax Included!
The Higher Ply Rating Jump About $8.00 Per Ply Rating...
Costco pretty much has the best deal. I work for Costco and we usually dont carry revos in stock but we can order them. I actually got mine from firestone only because they were buy 3 get 1 free at the time.
Finally located the REVO's for a more reasonable price. Paid $555, install included. Also, had it aligned which brought the price to $600.
So far they're 10x's as smooth and quiet as the Wranglers I replaced. Also, the wet traction is excellent!! The REVO's make the Wranglers feel like I was riding on stones, ie, the Flintstones!!
I've had them on now for about 2 days. I'll see how they wear over the long haul. Two thumbs up for the REVO's so far.

Within the next two weeks, I'm going to purchase the same tires as you, Jimmie. I wanted to go a bit wider (275's) but to no avail, I cannot find a set. I really haven't called anyone local yet to see if they have the 265s. But I do know that I'm getting Revos one way or another.
Question - Can I buy the tires at a store and have them put on somewhere esle? Curious.
I too chose Revos because of all the great reviews by fellow TSers and through TireRack. I can't wait to drive with them. Take it easy, yall.

Austin,
You are going to like the Revo's. We had a gulley washer today and I was out in it. I purposely tried stopping very fast and took a couple of turns really sharp and these tires felt like I was riding on glue. No slips or hydroplaneing whatsoever.
I changed from 16" rims to 17" rims and found that the 17's do not have many choices available in different sizes. Doing it over again I would probably stay with 16" rims and run larger tires.
