OK ... so the stock wheels/tires on the '05 Sequoia look lost in the wheelwells. 265/275 tires are simply too narrow. I am not interested in the 20" "bling bling" look. I want a truck look ... meaning 17" or 18" max wheel diameter that places the edge of the tire tread even with the edge of the fender flare. I also ideally do not want to lift ... or change gearing.
Yeaterday, in fact, I just had 265/75 16 BFG A/T ko tires installed on the stock 16 inch rims. I think it will be fine (aside from the speedo error), but I was wondering if anyone else has done this. Any rubbing? The tires look freaking awesome. Not protruding or anything like that, just much better look in the wheel well.

I did the same except I went with the Bridgestone Revo's. I also added a 1" spacer to the front to make it look level, so obviously I get NO rubbing. To me, it definitely makes the Seq. look a lot better.

Sorry to appear ignorant (but I am) but could you elaborate on the spacer? Sonds like I might benefit from one...
I run 285/60/18 in the summer and 275/70/16 in the winter. I don't have pics of the 275/70's yet in my photos. I had 265/75/16 and did not care for the look. Not wide enough. The 275/70 are much better if you are not going to lift.

Well, a 1" spacer really just makes the vehicle level. I like the look better than stock, which has the nose ~1.5" lower than the rear. Of course, a 1" spacer doesn't give quite enough clearance for a 285/75R16(33") tire. And you don't need the spacer for a 265/75R16 tire, but it does give you a little bit of extra clearance.
I'm do like 285's, have them on my truck. But the 275/70R16 is about 1/2" smaller in diameter than the 265/75 so that's why I went with the 265's. And honestly, the Revo tread makes them look plenty tough.

I definitely wanted a "truck" look so went with BFG AT's in 265/70/17 for my stock rims. I really like the look and there's only very minor rubbing with the front splash guards.
I've attached a picture and posted more pictures and notes here:
