Default Difficulty Changing Tires

Ok...anyone else having this problem?

I have a 2002 TRD Access Cab with have a second set of tires mounted on OEM wheels for winter use. When I attempt to change the tires, the wheels are basically 'stuck' on the hubs/drums even after removing all lug nuts. I have to literally beat on the backside of the wheel with a rubber mallet to remove them, repeatedly! This has happened the last two times I've changed tires. I know one trick is to loosen the lug nuts slightly then let the truck down to let the weight of the truck dislodge them. This time I greased up the mating surface as well as the center of the wheel, taking care not to get any grease on the lugs or nuts.

Any other tricks or tips to keep this from happening? I'm guessing the grease I put on there will only hold up for a little while.

Do the tundra wheels center on the lugs, or the center hub?

Thanks.

I've had the same problem with alot of cars. Clean the hub part of the disc/drum ( what the wheel sits on) with sandpaper to get the corrosion off and then use a small amount of grease (wheelbearing or multipurpose grease on the hub. Remember use a small amount, you want just a coating.
