Default 15' on 35' tires on 04 tundra dc

im looking to get some rims and tires and right now have stock 17' rims....with a 5' lift, looking to downgrade to a 15 inch rim and 35inch mud tires......would this application no look good on an 04 tundra would you be able to tell the difference on driving? Thanks for any replies.....

IMO 15" rims with 35's don't look nearly as good as 17" rims with 35's. Personally I like 18" rims with 35's. But 15" rims won't fit over the front brakes on the Tundra anyhow. 16" is the smallest you can fit. 35" tires are the right size for a 5" lift. That will look awesome on a DC too. Just make sure you fill that 35" with a 17" rim minuim if you are going for looks.

this is a picture of my dads truck with 35" pro comp A/T's, and 17" rims. 15" rims will not fit, and 16"s would probably look bad. IMO 17" rims are the best choice, because they dont look too small, and the tires tend to double in cost if you move up to 18" rims. his truck has a 4.5" TC lift as well as 3" body lift, and it still rubs on the mud flaps when its cold, but not at all any other times. so i would be hesitant to try 35"s with only 5" of lift.

I'm kind of surprised that his tires rub. I've got the Tuff Country lift with the Kings and 35's and mine doesn't rub at all. He's got at least a half inch more height with the body lift and Tuff Country. Nice looking truck...

Default just being an a$$

15'(feet) rims on 35'(feet) tires are HUGE .

LOL!!! I know you meant 15"(inches) on 35"(inches). Anyways back to the topic.

15" rims will not fit the front calipers but, will fit the rear drums.

I can attest to that fact. I swapped a Tundra rear axle into my 94 Toyota prerunner, and the 15s clear the drums and backing plates.
