Default Bad tire pressure sensor

My 05' SR5 had the low tire pressure light illuminate a few weeks ago. Put some air in the spare tire and the light went out (it was low by a pound or two).

Last week, light came on again and again I checked all the tires' pressure. Everything seemed fine but the light wouldn't extinguish even after a system reset. Brought it to Toyota and found it was the left rear tire pressure sensor that had gone bad. They installed a new one and everything is fine now but the folks at Toyota said they've seen alot of these bad sensors lately.

Anyone else with this problem? Other than that, I'm 100% satisfied with our purchase. Great vehicle!

I've got 900 miles on my '05, and even put new tires on it the day I brought it home from the dealership. No problems with my tire pressure sensors yet, and I even forgot to reset the system after the new tires were installed.
