Wow, Bridgestone/Firestone is very proud of that tire! The two Firestone shops that I called want $162 per tire plus mounting, balancing, etc. I found them at Costco for $148 for everything. What a difference.

Next time you get a Costco coupon book look for the tire coupon (useually $60.00 sometimes $80.00 On Bridgestone & Michelin tires). I got my Revos for $485 out the door.

Bridgestone announced a price increase in May on tires. See their news section on website.

Same here after I was originally quoted $175/tire. I told the manager that I knew several people who had bought the same tires at other Firestone stores for $125/tire. He gave me a discount (yeah right!) without any argument.

None of those guys seemed to want to deal when I told them I found them cheaper elsewhere. The cheapest I've found so far is $618 out the door but that's before the current $75 rebate on four tires. Not really a bad deal from what I've found around here. I think I'm going to buy them now and put them in the garage so I can get the $75 off an already good price. They'll give me coupons for the mounting and balance when I'm ready to put them on. Why not "waste" the 5k miles on these junk tires and put the new ones on when I need them?

If you've got the crappy Rugged Trails, I'd put the Revos on now. You might "waste" yourself riding on them for another 5k miles. They are downright scary and dangerous on wet pavement.

Look for the next Costco tire special in June. They usually happen twice a year Jan/June.

As for the price increase, I'd guess that Bridgestone sees how all of us are paying the BS "industry Pricing" price for BFGs, they should get their fair share too. Can't blame 'em, the REVOs are good stuff (they should make more sizes though). Now about gas prices.....................................

Just ordered a set of 265/70-16 from Just Tires for $525 installed.
No mention of a rebate, but there is one running until this weekend.

Just got a set from Discount Tires. 135 a piece. that made it 540 a set installed and balanced. I've got the 75$ rebate, so it will be 465. I'm happy. I still have to get them up. I'm thinking about keeping my Rugged Craps for another 5k, but I'll think about it this weekend. I still have some tred left, but I don't know if it's worth it.

I had planned on keeping my revo's for the summer before installing them. I read the fine print on the $75 rebate and noticed that they must be installed in order to get the rebate. Interesting, huh?

I will have to check back with the guy at the Tire store, but I think that he said that I'm okay, since he will give me the Code (I'll do the online rebate) for them when I pick them up. I will get back to you with an answer this weekend after I'll pick them up.
