Default New wheels, Tire pressure systems WORKS!

Well I decided not to get the TRD 20" wheels based on all the crap with the tire pressure system. I just purchased new 20" chrome eagle wheels. I decided to go with 285/50/20 tires based on looks and how well they filled the space. Check out my pictures under the new wheel album.

I wonder why the Chrome Eagle wheel works with the tire pressure system and the TRD Enkei wheel does not? What is the difference? Did you use the pressure sensors from your factory wheel?

Thx,
RickC

My new Razors work with the pressure sensors as well. They say it has to do with the positioning of the valvestem.

hmmm, thanks. I would like to find out more info on that. I already have the TRD wheel thinking they would work since they are Toyota wheels. I have not bought my tires yet though. If they won't work with the system, I may just sell them and choose a different wheel. Not sure how to pick one though if some wheels work and some don't.

I have heard from numerous people that the TRD 20" wheels do not work with the tire pressure system. Why? I have no Idea. I would have purchased them if the worked.

I really like the look of those wheels. My problem is I need all the towing capacity I can get, I was told that larger wheels would bring that down so I had to stick with the 16's. Nice looking truck you have.

Larger wheels do not affect towing capacity. Larger wheels create smaller sidewalls which affects the ride (stiffer because of less sidewall to absorb harsh bumps) and handling (better because of less roll of the tire in curves).
