Question IVAN STEWART TRD 16"WHEELS

Can anyone tell me what the cost should be for a used 16" set ( 4 ) of Ivan Stewart TRD Wheels with the TRD caps. I have a 2003 Tundra Limited 4X4 with the TRD off road package. Tires are P 265 70 R16. The wheels are in excellent shape and should fit my tundra with no problems.

They are hard to balance even with the fancy Hunter machine. I will never buy another set.

Bought brand new from Claremont Toyota for $750 depending on your luck Ive seen people let them go between $550-600. Never has a problem balancing them but my centercaps are starting to oxidize and have only had them for about 9 months . It is the quality of the chrome/clearcoat that concerns me. But love the look of my Ivans .

I just got mine about 5 weeks ago and have not been able to get them correctly balanced. Pep Boys tried twice and Discount Tires once. It's very annoying. I wish I knew they had that issue. In addition to that problem, the tire pressure monitors for the '05 and '06 won't fit in them. I love the way they look though. Anyone know why they are so difficult and what to do about it? The vibration is pretty annoying

They can be balanced but not by Pep Boys or Sears or anybody like that. They are Lug Centric wheels which means the shop must use the lug adapter and it needs to be a shop with a Hunter GSP 9700 (I think thats the number) machine and....this is the kicker.....they must have somebody who REALLY knows how to use the machine. Lots of places have the machine but few know how to use it. I went as far as calling the local Hunter rep to find out who had been to school. I will NEVER buy another set of lug centric wheels.

Mike 2000 Limited with TRD wheels.

Aren't all Toyota alloys lug-centric? I know the Tacoma 15's ~'96-99's were.

I believe all Toyota truck wheels to be lug-centric. As far back as my 1984 Pickup. The shop doing the balancing must have the lug adapter for the balancer. I think that any balancer will work as long as they have the adapter.

If you can't find an independent, then you will need to go to a dealer, either a Toyota or Nissan dealer will have the adapter.
