Default Does anyone have these ?Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S GO51

I've got 37000 on my Dunlops ,and have been looking into New 265/70 16 tires , These Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S GO51 , are rated as good as the Bridgestone's that everyone is raving about .
Just was wondering if anyone has themon one of our trucks and how you like them ?

The reviews at 1010tires.com are much more mixed than the reviews at tirerack.com.

I'm considering the Firestone Destination LE tires

I have had the Geolandars since March and I like then so far. They do ride a bit more firmly than the stock Goodrich tires. I think most any tire you get will have a firm ride compared to the stock tires. The Geolandars have good wet and dry traction and handle much better than the stock tires. They are wearing fine and I have had no balance problems. I did have them match balanced on the Hunter Road Force machine when they were installed. I have not had them in any snow yet but I can't believe they will be any worse than the stock tires. They won't be as good as a snow tire or all terrain tire and neither are any of the other all season tires. I had the Geolandar AT+ all terrains on another vehicle and they were every bit as good as the Michelin LTX M/S that I had on before them. They didn't last as long but had better snow traction. I went with the all seasons this time as I don't off road and I have a company truck to drive to work. I wanted better wear and less noise than most A/T tire provide.

FireStone LE's are probably just about he worst tire ever.....
Smooth ride but worthless in rain, mud, snow, sand...well they're really just for the road. The word "Wilderness" should be taken out of the name.

The Firestone Wilderness and Firestone Destination are different tire lines.

I bought the Yokohama Geolander HTS two weeks ago and I hate them. We had a snow storm over the weekend here in Eastern Ontario. The tires slip and skid when cornering if any snow is present. Merging onto the highway was scary at best. My vehicle would not change lanes. The wheel was turned but the vehicle kept going straight. I parked my SUV for the duration of the storm and used my other vehicle because it would be unsafe to drive with the Geolander HTS. I found out that Consumers Report rated them 5th from last out of 22 tires. Consumers Report called them a 3 season tire and that they perform poorly in the snow. Off they go and on with the Goodyear Fortera HL that was rated 1st.

I have these on my 2005 Tundra and they are great i have had them about two years now and getting ready to buy them again they are nice and sporty looking and ride just fine. If you are looking for a good tire with a sporty look then these are the ones for you, but if you want that monster truck look like a hillbilly then go with some mud grips.
good luck
