Default lots of pics of blizzack winter tire install with 16" rims

I researched winter tires quite a bit, and when I finally got everything together, I actually remembered to take some photos along the way!

Here is what you need to know to get a good winter tire setup for under a grand. I used Bridgestone Blizzack W965 in size LT235/85R16 on 16" steel rims.

Hope this answers some questions and inspires the winter tire bug within. I'm a true believer that 4x4 doesn't help you stop in the freezing ice and rain. Only dedicated winter tires can truly boost your safety margin in winter weather.

(apologies if i'm breaking any rules by using my own website to host the page. i didn't know how to do it the same way in the photo gallery and was easy to do on my own site. i can always repost if necessary if someone will tell me what to do to get into the knowledge base or whatever is appropriate.)

I recently purchased 265/65-17 Blizzacks. I hemmed and hawed abit about true winter tires, but so far I am very pleased. In the snow we've had thus far the tires have performed admirably. That includes snow (loose and packed), slush, dirt and paved roads. I'm still working on a set of spare wheels for the spring.
