This is a discussion thread titled "Stock Tires? (LT265/70/R16)", within the Tires and Wheels forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
It is, regrettably, time to replace the stock rubber on our 2000 SR5; 'they're all wore-out!' We're going to get a set of BF Goodrich All-Terrain's in a couple of months but in the mean-time, I'm looking for anyone who wants to part with their stock rubber that's nearer new than not.
Located near Vancouver, British Columbia. Anyone need some cash?
I have a set of Bridgestone Duelers stock size 265/70/16 with 8500 miles on them, in excellent shape and also one brand new spare Dueler as well.....make me an offer and its your
Frank.
PS. You could either email or PM me offlist if you like.
Can the tires be shipped across the border without a customs hassle, customs broker fees, etc? I've heard that UPS charges a high broker's fee. Post office is usually the best way to ship to Canada, but tires are too big & heavy.
Or, is there a mailing service in Blaine (Mailboxes, Etc. type of place) that could receive them for you?
By the way, the OE tires are P265/70-16, not LT265/70-16.
I could probably get the tires installed in the States if I could get them to the Seattle area. That's just 2 hours away for me. That would dispense with duties. ..er, I mean then I would declare them at the border and pay heavy taxes!
Are you willing to part wit your P265/70/R16's? How much do you want for them? Don't forget to go easy on the price - our dollar is getting pounded by Uncle Sam! 62 and a bit cents gets you one of dollars right now.
If my cost gets anywhere near new tires, then that's what I'll get. Lemme know and thanks for your reply.
I have lived in AZ for over 20 years. Discount Tire is the only place I have bought tires since I have been here. I even have bought tires for my kids cars. I am very happy with their service. Also, they repair tires for free. I recommend them to anyone.
