Replacing my Dueler HT/S 689s this weekend. Trying out the Yokohama Geolander's from discounttiredirect.com. Free shipping and a rebate.

I got 46k out of my Duelers. Wear bars aren't showing yet, but aren't far off.

Thought I put my .02 in, have just about 20,000 on my HT's no problems, wearing great, I am wondering what size those with problems are, my are the 17" anyone having problems with the 17" tire.

I previously had the Dueler H/T 689's on a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder (which I sold and bought a 2004 Tundra) and they were the worst tire I had ever had. I replaced them with the Toyo Open Country A/T tire on the Pathy, and will probalby swap out my OEM Dunlop's for the Toyo's on the Tundra around the end of summer.

I have yet to see a good OEM tire. I have the Dueller HT on our 4Runner but they have a 100K warranty.

I am on my fourth set of Dueller Revo AT's on two different vehicles. The first three went on my 92 GMC Z71. The first set was not Revo, the original AT. I got 50K out of the first set and around 75K on the other two.

I just put on a new set of Revos friday and had to go back today because of an imbalance. Turns out one tire was bad, out of round. So, three tires with 78 miles and one tire with 14 miles. We'll see how well they work on this new tundra.

Thumbs down Re: Anyone had trouble with Bridgestone Deuler ht's?

I have a 2007 Tundra with 13,500 and the tire are 4\32 .Same problem ,Firestone pass it off to Toyota ,MY TOYOTA TECH puts 36 psi in the set and tells me "tread should last longer" (36 hours and one inch of snow and ice)The police report stated I hit the stopped SUV In the rear

I've been involved in vehicle maintenance for over 30 years and I never heard of over inflating manufacturers recommended tire pressure .
Must be like the new math ?

If ya ask me the pressures on the door jams are way too low, if ya run them at those pressures you will have premature wear on outside corners. i have 26K on my OEM BS Duelers 840's and they have a lotta miles to go and i run 36 in all 4 and the wear stopped on the outer edges when i went up in pressure. I am using these presuures also due to climate in ABQ 5300' and temps can vary 40 to 50 degrees in a day!! If ya do not check weekly here you will ruin tires really quick!

I have the same problem. I will never by that brand of tire. firestone, Goodyear, and Michelin. That is the only three to by for good tread life and performance. I have 19,884 miles on my 06 DC 4x4 SR5 and my tires are in bad shape as well. The tire sucks.

these came on my truck and I knew I would change them as soon as possible. The backs wore extremely fast and I dont drive the truck hard at all. I just clicked 34000 and 2 of them were essentially slicks and I wasnt going to chance driving them here in dallas when were more likely to get ice then snow. they were scary in the rain, just driving regulary they wanted to spin. I just put 285/17 bfg AT's and love them. They might not be the best road tire, but they look awesome and are very versatile. I say "NO WAY" on the bridgestone duelers.

Hello,

I have had very good luck with my Bridgestone Dueler H/T 689's. The first set were oem with my 2002 SR5, and they ran for about 85,000 miles with good wear left on the tires. I rotated them almost every other oil change. I only switched them out b/c I had some cash on had didn't want go through the winter on balding tires. I replaced them with the same model tire, and am experiencing more wear now on this set, but I'm also rotating tires much less now that I change my own oil. I've also changed my driving pattern, and find my self on a lot of tight high speed curves. But overall I'd say the tire is excellent. I got lucky with the alignment on my truck as well. I've got 135K miles on my truck now, and have not needed and alignment. Long live my truck and the duelers' they are on.

I have 35,000 on my HT 689's on my 2005 Tundra. I have plugs in all 4 tires. I have driven through mud and high water and slippery roads with no issues. Up until gas prices shot up, I peeled out and took corners like i was in a sports car. I have driven over downed pine trees after Katrina and over curbs and through ditches. Yes...it is time to replace them in about 5,000 miles. But through everything they have been through....they have been excellent tires....IMO.

I bought mine with 36K on the OEM tires. They were shot last Nov (07). I've nursed them along to 40K Sept (08) and I just ordered Yokohama Geolanders yesterday.

I have the dueller h/t on my '05 dc Tundra and tires are dry rot looking all on the sides like tiny splits and the side walls roll if towing anything more than my baot. They have 27k miles on them and are getting scarey. I am decideing what to get shopping now for the best load range tire that is real close to this size. MY brother in law works at Bridgestone and can get me a discount but I would rather pay full price for coopers or michelins.

I have the dueler at Revo 2nd set I've owned and I currently have about 16k. If I get 25k than I'll be happy. My last set of tires were the Mastercraft rugged trail made by cooper and I got only 19k. They were $105 each. that was under normal driving conditions. I was not burning out in them. I do however travel on chipped and tar roads. I guess that is what you pay for. Also, I wrecked on these tires. Don't buy mastercraft
