Default MT Classic Lock w/BFG AT's 285/75/16 *pics*

Here are some pics of my new wheels and tires. I got the 16" MT Classic Locks with BFG AT KO's 285/75/16's. All for about $1300 installed (my friends dad in Utah owns a tire shop so installation was free as well as a discount on the tires.)

I do have some rubbing issues. I cut the plastic where it was rubbing, part of the mud flap assembly. But I still have some rubbing. There is a lot more plastic I can cut out. I'll deal with that this weekend. I need to measure to see how far each side is lifted, it appears that my right front is lower than my left front side. A couple turns with the spanner wrench will fix that. I took a pic of how high I have the c/o's lifted, this is where Bill left them. Is it ok to go higher?

Opinions: I like the way the truck looks. I think it would look better if I put the deavers 10 pack in the rear. I seem to have lost 1-2mpg on the highway, but my truck was hauling all our stuff: my old tires, guns, ammo, clothes, ect at 80+mph. I still need some time to really see how much mpg I've lost with the wheels/tires. The power is down too, to be expected. I got the tires in Utah, and the elevation there is like 4500ft. I was pissed at how slow the truck was. Now that I'm back in So. Cal. the truck is faster again. Elevation sucks a big one! The ride has gone down, and tires tramline like a mofo... I catch every crack on the freeway. Handling is worse too, those larger side walls flex! But all this is to be expected with larger tires. Although my time was limited, I did get a chance to go off road, it handles the dirt well. Overall I love the new setup and wouldn't change it at all. I think this is the biggest tire I would want to go with, any larger and it'd really suck the power out of the truck.

Yes, it's the stock rear suspension in these pics. I may go with the Bilstein 5100 shocks for the rear. They seem to be a good replacement shock from what others say.

I really want the Deavers with the RaceRunner shocks.

Old post...I know, but this is PERFECT...exactly the look I want on my '06 phantom grey AC. I do have the 2.5 Daystar lift from Wheeler's, though...

However, as one poster asked...what offset did you get? I'm thinking of going with the procomps on Wheeler's website.

Great looking truck.

Jerry
