Has anyone see a tow buddy in use or used one?

I have seen them. They look kind of goofy.

Dunno if they would be safe or not though. I wouldn't use one.

My thoughts exactly, but I was curious if anyone had any experience to report. To me 5th wheel is a ton or better truck option...error to the safe side for my choice.

I agree if the trailer weighs more than 9000lbs. But if you're under 7000lbs, you would be alright with the tundra.
No, i would say more than alright. I tow a 6200lb 5er with my tundra and it handles it great. I also tow our horses (9000lbs) with it as well.
I may be slightly over GVWR of the truck, but i'm not worried at all. I'm talking about 2-300 lbs over. Not enough to worry about.
