First tow tomorrow

Going fishing tomorrow. Gonna pull my buddies 24ft bayboat. This will be the first thing i tow with my truck. Back in the old days, they said you had to drive without towing for 500-1000 miles or so to let everything break in before towing. Does that still apply. I have 500 miles on my truck. Is it ok to tow now or should i drive it longer before towing.

If it is a EASY tow go for it, meaning not too far or hilly.

You are good to go accourding to Toyota, personally I would just take it a bit easy while towing.

All i can say is wow. It towed that boat and i barely felt it behind the truck. Low end power is what is really impressive.
