Be careful, the safety nannies will be here shortly reminding you that our 1/2 ton trucks should pull anything larger then a two place snow machine trailer. Having said that, I have a 22ft Fleetwood GearBox, that ways about 9500 lbs fully loaded with all the gear and 3 atvs turned sideways (loading them is a lot of fun). My truck, DC 5.7 4x5, gets about 8mpg at 65mph. Above 65mph, it'll drop to around 6mpg. I'm happy with the mileage. We normally camp north of us in Montana, the drive is up hill all the way. Plus it seems like we end up fighting a strong headwind on the way home. This past weekend I actually saw 12mph, with 2 atvs, no generators, and no water.

Anyways be prepared to be flamed now by the safety nannies. FYI I use a Prodigy P3 brake controller and a equalizer hitch.

4 days after buying the truck I towed 6x10 open standard utility trailer with a chopper and a Harley Dyna on it on a 2200 mile round trip. I averaged 10 mpg with a lead foot and about 1/3 of the trip being mountain driving.

It sits level. Not sure on the brand of equalizer, weight distribution hitch I'm using though. without it, the trailer would really squat the truck. You really need to see the inside of the toy hauler with 3 atvs in it. Thats the really fun part. 2 Honda 450 foremans and one Suzuki Vinson 500.
