Default Anyone use a Curt WDH?

Anybody familiar with a curt weight distribution hitch?

How is it? How easy to install?

Do I need this to tow a trailer that weighs about 10,000lbs when loaded?

Thanks

if i was pulling 10,000lbs i would definitely want a Weight distribution hitch. Do you know what your hitch weight would be?

I dont know how a WDH is installed so im of no help there. But again you should definitely get a WDH and if your going to towing 10k often i would probably get air bags as well

Curt is okay. You really want to do some towing? Get a Reese, Draw-tite or a Hidden Hitch even.
They are all really good units but Reese is known for heavy duty. The W.D. is made up of many components
and is fairly simple to get installed. You would probably need weight distribution starting at 10,000lbs,
and to top it all off....get a dual cam sway control with the Reese patent, its the one and only!

Here is a good choice for Weight Distribution & Sway Control: Draw-Tite Strait-Line Weight Distribution Hitch Kit (1,000 lb) with Round Bars 40684

Or, just weight distribution: Reese Weight Distribution Hitch (800 lb) with Trunnion Bars 66021

Here's some info on Weight Distribution: Draw-Tite Hitches.com | Trailer Hitches | Trailer Hitch Accessories | Electrical Wiring | Cargo Management | Bike Racks | Vehicle Accessories

Hi,

Hensley Arrow makes a hitch that makes you think you're pulling a fifth-wheel. There is no sway when trucks pass you and hard braking is a non-event. They'll send you a DVD if you ask for one showing how it works. Nice thing about them is support. If you change trucks or trailers they'll be there with support and just the right parts to make it happen. They are spendy.... but, in my view, worth it. Hensley Arrow - Trailer Towing Safety will get you to their website.

Even my wife will drive with the HA.

Best,

Bill
