You could do that safely IMO. The towing and payload numbers that Toyota gives for our trucks is VERY conservative IMO. With a rear end similar to a Dana 80 and a driveshaft thicker than my arm I'd say you'll be fine. Also a few members like Pullthis have pulled WAY over the max towing with their stock trucks and been fine. Pullthis actually is competing in pulling competitions where he pulls a 40k lb towing rig at wide open throttle for several hundred feet and he has not broken anything. I say go for it! Good luck.

IMO car companies always state a much lower tow capacity on there cars/trucks just to Cover there A$s. I think you have a minimum of 10-20% safely over there numbers... IMO only.
