Ok, so all of this airbag talk got me all fired up to put a set on my 07.
I went to the web and downloaded the installation instructions.
Major problem.
The Airbags use an existing hole in the frame for the little elbow at the top of the airbag to pass through. If you look at the attached pic you can see that one of the mounting bolts from my Superglide 14K hitch is blocking that opening.
bill,
I can't tell from the picture exactly what's going on. i think that's the bed at the top with the superglide plate on it, and you're looking at the frame from the inside, is that right (fyi: the picture you attached is very small)? which bolt in the picture is blocking the hole? i'll print your picture out and get under my truck when i get home to see if i can tell what's up and maybe help fix it. i installed air lift loadlifter 5000 bags last week, so it's pretty fresh on my brain. more larger pics might help as well. if i don't get a chance to post up tonight, i'll be on it in the morning.
you may be able to squeeze the bag in upside down if you completely remove the bump stop, but i don't know how advisable that is. you will also have some hose routing issues, i think.

Firestone makes bags for your application. You simply remove that bolt in the frame. The mounting bolt on the top of the bags now acts as THAT bolt instead.
I know this because we had the same problem with our gooseneck hitches.
You got to be sure to order the right bags, but they do make them.

Sorry for the confusion. The picture was taken looking at the left side of the frame (side view)
The rear bolt (verticle) extends all the way down and actually contacts the pre-existing hole in the top of the frame.
Bill,
Here's a picture of my install taken with the camera just above the differential, looking at the inside of the driver's side frame member. If I'm interpreting your picture correctly, you won't have an issue because it looks like the hole in the top of the frame is blocked, but not the hole in the bottom, which is the one used by the air bag. Let me know if I can be of any more help or if it's not like I'm seeing it.
p.s. I'll post a pic of where I put the air valves for easy access until I buy an on-board compressor rig. If I'd have thought of it, I would have taken a picture while I was under there today. We went on a camping trip with our trailer last weekend and adjusting the bags, even with a bicylce floor pump, was easy and fast. I didn't think it could feel better than it did, but the truck felt AWESOME with the bags... super stable and not 'nose-up' at all. We didn't get flashed by a single car driving out on friday night.

Oh brother am I embarassed.
You are absolutley right. I was looking at the top of the frame.
Thank you very much for the picture. A picture truely is work a thousand words.
Did you do the install yourself? I put my own hitch in so I was thinking I would tackle the bags too.

Best place to buy?
Thanks a million D-lo.

No sweat. I'm happy to help. I did put the bags in myself. It was cake. Cutting the bump stop was a little bit of a pain. I recommend a utility knife with a fresh razor. I also put lock-tite blue on the assembly screws that secure the bag to the mounting plates. The screws are impossible to get to after the install and I wasn't going to have them coming loose on me. I haven't done much suspension work, so I took the extra precaution. I'll post a pic of where I put the air valves a little later... they're hidden, protected, and super easy to access. For now I'm adjusting with a bicycle floor pump until I can decide what compressor set-up I want. I got my bags on ebay. It was the same price if not a hair cheaper ($235 shipped) than anywhere else. The current auction from the same seller is here. Let me know if you have any other questions. You're going to love the bags!

Thanks for sharing the information. I love these forums. You can get real information from real people.
(well most of the time )
I thought the install looked pretty straight forward.
Looks like a breeze compared to what I went through installing the hitch.
I will check the e-bay link you gave me.
