Anyone find a good set of add-on tow mirrors? I'm looking for the type that clip on to the existing mirrors and can be easily removed. It's hard to tell from ads if any of them are junk or not.

These were almost useless. They would not stay put on the highly contoured mirror shroud of the 05 Tundra. In a rain stowm one of them fell off and luckly my wife was able to roll down the window and catch it before it hit the ground.
I hear good things about McKesh but I never liked the idea of the brackets resting on my paint. Those that have them say they are very good and stable. (sorry no link for you).
I solved my problem by buying an 07 with the tow package. Gotta love the new tow mirrors.
Good luck.
Bill

Thanks Bill. I couldn't go with the tow mirrors because I need the power-folding option to get into my garage. There must be something out there that works...
I tried the cipa universals and they are useless like fivecodys said. The best tow mirrow is the Mckesh (mine are Mckesh knockoffs, cheaper and work just as well). I know they look like hillbilly mirrors, but they work the best. Once you have them set, they go on and off in minutes. If you do a search you will see that most tundra owners that tow, use the Mckesh or similar.
I used these cheapos from Camping World until I traded for tow mirrors on my Limited. http://www.campingworld.com/browse/s...r/skunum=10438
The worked pretty darn well for the cost...shocking, I know.
Stayed put, didn't vibrate while in motion, were adjustable so you could tighten them down enough to feel safe at speed, and even cinched down tight they didn't scratch the chrome on the Limited mirrors.
They get a from me for the occasional user that wants an in-expensive option.
You can kind of see them in this pic...

I have McKesh Mirrors that I have only used a few times. We got the tow mirrors on our 2008 Tundra, so don't need them anymore. I see you live in Seattle? I'm in Puyallup. I would sell them cheap to you if you are interested.

Howdy neighbor!
I may take you up on that but I have to get my trailer first! I have one picked out but no place to park it right now because my son still lives at home.

I changed mine out on my 07 Tundra. Had to change the door wiring harness in both doors and change the A/C control panel to get the mirror heaters to work, although it was several months later. The remote adjust would work, but no running lights or blinkers. I have got used to rolling the window down and pulling in the dirver side mirror to pull up to Sonic or go through the dirve through at the bank. Wouldn't be without them. I spent about $800.00 on changing out the mirrors. Another $400.00 on the back up camera. Find myself using the small non adjustable mirrors most ot the time. Next, time I will know what I need when I buy.
Looking for clip on mirrors for my 07 Tundra DC. I'm going to give the ones from CW a try. Thanks for the info and link, mxsjw.
Shoot, I've got the current ad right here and the darn things are on sale to club members for $7.69 ea.
Different part number, but I've looked at both part numbers in the store, and they are all but identical if my memory serves.

One of the best things about Camping World...if they don't work out for ya, you can take them back hassle free.
I expect beer within a couple days...
