Default Towing and Tire pressure

So I have been towing a pop-up camper for the past few days, and will be going on a weekend trip for Memorial day...
I took a look at the rear tires and it seems that the outside tread of the tires are getting more wear than the rest of the tire. Current tire pressure is 33-35 and the tires were rotated about 1,300 miles ago.

My question is: What is a safe rear tire pressure when towing a camper like I have.

We tow a 25 ft. travel trailer and we put 45 lbs. in the rear and 42 in the fronts. It really depends if the pop-up weighs alot. Remember to try and get an early start to your weekend as will everybody else will be out there too!

Near the max of what is on the tire sidewall, not the door jamb. If your ride is too rough because the tires are stiff you can let out a couple of pounds. Not sure if this is "evidence based" but it works for me (4th truck, lots of mileage out of tires).

i didn't see any mention of what tires you are using?check the amount of max psi on the tires and go from there usally your standard non d or e rated tires are only good for around 50 psi. i would think if you have standard you might try 40 and see how that works.
have fun on your trip you guys are brave going on memorial day.
i usually go the week after. much more relaxing and less hassel on the roads.

Thanks guys...This info is a huge help.
I still have the ole' stockers (BFG Rugged trails) and will check the sidewall information.

I'm trying to get out of the office AS SOON AS POSSIBLE on Friday, trust me! They'll be lucky to get 3-4 hours out of me tomorrow!
