Default 2008 Sequoia bounce

I have a new 2008 SR5 Sequoia. 5.7L with tow package. Pulling the same trailer and hitch ( hensley ) as my old sequoia. Same reciever height as well. Same roads as before. New truck bounces up and down about 1/2 inch several times per second when driving down the road. More on concrete than asphalt, but still there and noticeable. Disappears when below 30mph. Tires at 40 psi, just as old sequoia. Only difference i can tell is the new sequoia has an independent rear suspension as opposed to the solid axle on my old sequoia. Would air bags in the coil springs or new shocks help. Something else i am overlooking? Trailer is about 5700# loaded with a 650# tongue weight before drawing the WD bars up. On the scales, only about 400# of tongue weight remains on the truck.

I'd venture to say a new set of nicer tires might help. I'd also make sure you have your weight bars set correctly. Reguardless of hitch height your truck should be close to level i.e. rear drops 1" w/ the trailer the front should go down 3/4 to 1" w/ the weight bars loaded. I've also seen P metric tires cause this in a IRS vehicle. I'd look at tires and make sure your hitch is set up correctly. Do you have any pics of it set up? what did the front and rear fenders measure before and after the trailer was attached? We need a bit more info.

The WD bars are 1000# bars, so that should be good with the 650# tongue weight i would think. The front fender was 35 3/4" w/o trailer and 35 1/4" with trailer. The rear fender was 36 3/4" w/o trailer and 36 1/8" with trailer. Trailer frame measured 15 1/4" to 15 5/8" along the street ( which probably isn't perfectly flat over 24'). Did an unscientific test tonight. Had someone jump up and down on the bumper. Differential moved vertically 1/2". Shocks and springs compressed/extended 3/8". Wheel moved vertically 1/16".
