Default Any problem towing with 20" wheels?

Looking to purchase a new Tundra CM and prefer the look of the 20"wheels. I am wondering whether the 20" ers are going to be any problem with towing heavier loads, due to the smaller sidewall on the 20" tire. Should I go for the 18" (which is hard to find with my option package) or does it matter?

I have 20's on my limmited and tow with it w/o any problems. see my pictures of my trailer in the gallery. click on the camera to view.
mine had the stock tires and they were ok. but i decided to go with e-rated tires and they are great.
you might see if you can work the dealer into putting a nice set of e-rated on it as part of the sale. i was so excited to find mine last july in the color i wanted and all the options that i spaced on the tires.

I read somewhere that the shorter side wall (as in the 20") was Better for towing as there is less sway or side movement but I'm no expert on the subject......I would "Google It" as well to find your answer...I have the LTD rolling on 20's and plan to tow heavy in couple of years.

the 20'' wheel has a better gyro effect, better stability at speed.

Mine is rolling on 20's with no towing problems. 07 DC 4x4. I do highly advise the TRD rear swaybar...tends to tighten up the rear of the truck esp in cross winds

Thanks for the help.

Sounds like there should be no problem. Anyone know whether the stock tires on the alloy 20 upgrade (?Michelins) are LT's?

I'm rollin' on dubs (kidding, just had to say that ) and I tow/haul regularly w/out problems. Based on everything I've heard about the sway bar, I'm sold, just need to order it up.
The stock tires on my factory 20" wheel upgrade are
Dunlop SP Sport 5000m:
P275/55R20
also on the sidewall - IIIH and M+S
Max load/pressure: 2403/44 psi
I'm not that educated about tires, but I hope this helps. Link with good info here.
Oh, it also said
plies: sidewall - 2 polyester
tread area - 2 polyester + 2 steel + 1 nylon

I have the trd sway bar on mine and bought the michellein ltx at2's lt's in a e-rated tire. i'm running 285/55/20 just a little over stock size.
i love these tires so far. i have had them for several month now with no regret.

Thanks F S 2000,

I didn't realize they made an E rated on this size tire. Is that why you went up to the 285's? No problem with clearance with the 285's? If not, I like that idea. I'm assuming you are a couple of MPH off on your speedometer, though, correct?

I own a Suburb 2002 2500 with E rated LTX M/S's now, and I just felt a little queasy about going to a weaker tire on a brand new Tundra.

I would for sure go with a LT tire at least if not a 10ply . Michelin makes some good tire but i still think TOYO makes even better tires . The TOYO HT is what I wish I had put on my truck when I took of the factory p rated Michelin's . Instead of my friends take offs from his new F350 .

I also thought about going up to a 20 inch rim so i could buy the TRD big brake kit . As they would help with towing even more then any other of the mods you can do . I did not go this way yet because of the price though .
