Wow. Perhaps, they towed with the Mighty Tundra and realized it's only a 1/2 ton truck with a 3/4 ton aspirations. If you have to install airbags, WDH (sissy sticks), travel with empty tanks, not pack half your gear, have Tom Hole calculator every piece of equipment, and still worry if your overloaded; maybe, just maybe, you should consider a bigger truck. I highly recommend the Chev. 2500 HD with a 6.6 Duramax it will pull the Tundra with your trailer attached right off the showroom floor. (now to be fair the Duramax was orginally manufractured by Isuzu). Sorry guys, the truth hurts! I'm going back to the RV Net.
Dave...i tow the same 8klb trailer as my buddy does, he has a f350 v10 using the same "SISSY STICKS" and he has the same complaints i have until we get to any hill. Thats when i walk past him with ease, i dont see any need for me to go back to an oil burner and if i did it would be a cummins again, not that overheating albatrose that gm stuck in there.
Head back to rv.net...not that they like you over there either.

It sounds like you are referencing older gms. A 2008 GMC sierra interior is much nicer than the tundra. Hands down. You may be right on the other points, but I disagree with the interior statement.
Are you sure about that??? Do you really want to go there?? I have an sr5 Tundra DC not top of the line tundra. My cousin just bought a 2008 Chevy 3500 dually crew cab with many of the bells and whistles. I'm 6'4" and I hurt myself everytime I get in and out of the back seat cause of where the handles are and how the doors are shaped. The seats are already starting to look and feel broken down. I admit although I bought a Tundra, I still like chevy and if I was going to go 3/4 ton I'd probably be at GM.... but I'm not. There's no comparison, the Tundra is far superior to the Chevy's, Ford's, and Dodge's. My family is all GM people and my buddy is a Ford guy, so I almost had to walk the plank when I bought my Tundra but after some towing, construction sites, and off roading let's just say I'm not the only Tundra in the family anymore.
Have a friend with an 07 dodge ram with the "small 4 doors" and the back seat is coming unraveled. Oh and his paint is starting to come off on the hood. Like I said before, RVnet is full of a bunch of weight police that are perfect in every way that they tow. Their rigs can pull the Sears tower right off its foundation with ease. And according to them, if you are 300 pounds over- you are a mass murderer flying down the highway looking for innocent folks to slaughter. Thats why I refuse to go over their anymore. I swear, they would argue with a dead cat.

Many things are a matter of opinion, but cab space/volume isn't really one of them. The GM crew cab front to rear interior space and leg room is larger than the Tundra DC, the door openings are substantially wider, and the window sizes aren't even close. The rear seat cushions are also deeper, and therefore more comfortable for adults. Similarly, the Tundra crew max interior is longer still--there's no arguing raw dimensions. I'm not much of a fan of the GM cloth selections, but I cover the seats anyhow. I like the Toyota grey cloth, but that's opinion.
Don't get me out my wrong, I like to brag about my truck. But, Tundrabay comments about "walking past an F-350 with a V-10" boarders on comedy. Perhaps, he should get a little sleep and he wouldn't make such misleading statements.

Either though the V-10 is a good engine, by no means is it a performance machine. I think you can just check the HP/TQ numbers and compare especially considering the weight of the two different vehicles.

I think that might have been 1jeep who made that comment.
Anyway, we all need a little comedy in our lives, don't we?

Every truck has its limits. My Tundra, your Tundra is a great 1/2 ton truck. If you're a happy owner with a camper and a good set of "sissy sticks" you're in business. But, if you're a contractor towing heavy equipment everyday, maybe an oil burner is what you need.
Haha, I come and read on this site (and a couple others) for relaxation. Sometimes I just like messing with you guys. For example that RVnet forum. I don't sleep too much.

That was me that made the F350 comment.
My buddy has a older V10 with the 2 valve heads running 3:73 gears, we tow very similiar weight and size trailers. I walk past him on every hill with ease! I can also out stop him as he found out when he nearly kissed my trailers tail one time.
I am not saying my truck is superior and i do realize it isnt a 1ton, but it does hold its own when towing within its ratings.

Here we are on our way from Columbus to Lake Leelanau, MI for vacation:
Ooopsie...the Equal-i-Zer cut several wires in the pigtail and caused the brakes to kick on and start smoking. Had no choice but to unplug it and drive 200 miles without brakes or lights. The Tundra can stop 10,000lbs (9500 is what the trailer weighs) no problems, even on hills.
Got a new Pigtail coming to the campground from etrailer.com, should be here by Friday.
